How to Secure SAP HANA Cockpit Step-by-Step

Welcome to How to Secure SAP HANA Cockpit Step-by-Step. In this white paper you will find all the details are needed to let you configure an SAP HANA Cockpit to securely connect and manage HANA database instances using two types of connections:

  1. The JDBC connection between the cockpit and the target HDB
  2. XSA and the browser (secured via XSA domain certificate) Note: There are many other connections also need to be secured with SSL/TLS, such as the connection between cockpit and SAP Control, SSO relevant connections etc. Almost all TCP based connections need to be secured with SSL/TLS.
